Capping off the year with my last life lately post for 2016 an update of life things that happened in December :)

To Aian – I know these past years haven't been easy, and from time to time it gets a bit difficult, but I feel incredibly grateful knowing I'm going through life with you. Thank you always, for everything. (As I always say, thanks for putting up with my shit.) Happy 7 years, love. You will always be, to me, my best friend and favorite person in the whole universe. I love you ♥

Speaking of reviews, these days I've been churning out reviews one after the other that I'm quite surprised at myself, since I've always been a lazy blogger. I don't know if you guys remember, but a few months back I talked about how I wasn't able to review lenses for over a year. The truth is, during that time, I continued to receive a contact lenses from sponsors, but I never actually got around to reviewing them. I still feel very guilty about it, so I thought I'd review them now. These lenses already expired a long time ago (some of these were from 2014), so I can't take photos of them when worn anymore. So what I did was, I looked for photos of me wearing any of the lenses I still had. Luckily, I managed to find a few of them sitting in the PC, so I'll be reviewing the ones in those! The first pair is EOS Cat Eyes Gray*, sent to me by LoveShoppingholics ♥

Hey everyone! I just finished packing my bags for tomorrow's flight to KL, so I thought I'd sit down and finally get to writing this. As some of you may know, the reason why I'll be in KL from tomorrow is because Comic Fiesta 2016 is this weekend! Comic Fiesta, or CF for short, is Malaysia's biggest and longest-running convention that focuses on animation, comics and games (ACG). Aian and I attended our first CF in 2013, and we've been attending every year since then. Last year and the year before that, I actually applied for a blogger pass so I was able to meet all the amazing guests and listen to their interviews (only listen, because I'm too shy to ask questions myself hehe). Sadly, I wasn't able to put up my event report for CF2015, so I decided not to apply for a pass this year. This year, we'll be attending as a regular con-goers, just like our first ever CF!
Even though I wasn't able to put up my event report for CF2015 on time, I thought it would be such a waste not to share the photos, especially since our friend Jaimee, who was my ~photographer~ for last year, did an amazing job with taking photos. So here you go, my extremely late Comic Fiesta 2015 report! (Warning: super image heavy! 60+ photos, gasp!)

I mentioned in a previous post that I bought new lenses to match my updated glasses prescription. I'm gonna talk about them today! They're contact lenses from Executive Optical. It was my first time buying lenses from EO, so I wasn't familiar with their lens offerings. It took me about 15 minutes to decide on a pair, since I was comparing all the available designs to lenses that I've already tried before. The SA's in EO Southmall were very helpful though. After much deliberation, I finally settled on the Flexwear Illusions II Sienna.

Only 18 (!!) days left before Christmas, and soon after that, it'll be January. I don't know about the rest of you, but I just really want the year to be over and done with. It's not that 2016 has been particularly unkind to me, but all these local and international events happening one after the other just makes me want to fast-forward to 2017. Also, with all the shit happening to the country at this time, it's so hard to find something to be happy about. So today, I thought I'd try making a list of things that made me happy recently. I got the idea from Audrey's 52 week challenge for 2016, which I found through Tannya. Like I said, a lot of bad things have been happening, so it was hard for me to come up with anything. But this way, I got to look back on the past week and think of all the things that made me happy, no matter how small.

Can you believe it's already the last month of 2016? Crazy. Hope the first few days of December have been good to you so far. As usual, I'm starting the month off with a life lately post – just a quick update of life things that happened in November! ♥

Hey everyone! Here's another contact lens review for you, courtesy of K-lenspop. These were in my haul post last month – I finally got to take photos of everything just the other day. The lenses are Bunny 3Color Green* and Bunny 3Color Gray* ♥

Here's another familiar K-beauty name – Kicho! I previously received their Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream from bntnews, and it's now found its place in my daily skincare routine, as an alternate sunscreen for lazy, no-makeup days. This time though, I'll be reviewing a different kind of cream from Kicho, which is their Sheep Oil Cream *.

Hey everyone! I mentioned in an earlier post that I would be doing another haul post soon, and here it is! Some of these items are stuff I bought, while the others were given to me by brands/sponsors. I received all of these over the past couple of months. I kept the boxes on purpose so I could show them to you! Think of this as something like an unboxing post! :)

Last November 6th, I was at SM Southmall for the Tale of the Winter Forest event, where they officially unveiled the mall's gorgeous Christmas centerpiece, with a play production by Stages and a full performance of the Manila String Machine.

Hey everyone! Today I have another contact lens review for you – this time it's from one of my trusted sources for contact lenses, PinkyParadise. I actually received these late last month, just in time for Halloween, but I only got around to taking proper pictures and reviewing them this week. The lenses are Princess Pinky Radiance Hazel ♥
Though I already did a life lately post last month, a lot of things happened on the last couple of days of October, plus I attended an event earlier this month, so I suddenly have a ton of photos to share! Here's a post-Halloween update.. of sorts.

These days I've become so used to staying at home and not wearing any makeup at all, so when I do go out, sometimes I'm too lazy to go through my usual foundation routine. To solve that problem, I've decided to look into cushion makeup once again, and today I'll introduce the product that I've been using recently – it's Peripera's Inklasting Pink Cushion ♥

A while back I did a short post on Ice Flower Cafe, a.k.a. the reason why I got into the whole bingsu craze in the first place. I said that I'd write a proper post when I get the chance, so here it is – a slightly better one, with lots of pictures!

Are you familiar with the term hanbang? If you're a K-beauty or Asian skincare addict like me, chances are you've seen or heard this term at least once. The word "hanbang" refers to traditional Korean medicine, and hanbang cosmetics are cosmetic products scientifically formulated with multiple herbs based on the old wisdom of traditional Korean herbal medicine. Today, I'll be reviewing my very first hanbang skincare item – RIN Bi-gyeol Yun Cream* from Hansaeng Cosmetics!
bntnews is a website based in the UK that focuses on Korean fashion, beauty, entertainment, and the K-wave. The bntgirls group has been around for quite some time now, so you might already know about it from reading about it on other blogs. There are also several other bntgirls across Asia, and I'm super happy to be one of them ♥

As a bntgirl, I have the privilege of receiving a box of K-beauty goodies once a month, and my job is to tell you all about those goodies! For this month's beauty box (my very first one!), they sent me products from Korean brands that I've never heard of until now – one of them is the Ultra Moisturizing Sun Cream* from KICHO, which I'll be reviewing today.

Sooo, I understand that this is probably a very cliché thing to do, but I'm going to come right out say it – Hello, October! ♥ October is my birth month, so naturally, I look forward to it every year. This year, we started the month off by attending both days of Cosplay Mania, the biggest ACG event in the Philippines. (Just a quick warning – this post is VERY image-heavy!)

Hey everyone, I'm back with another contact lens review – this time from K-lenspop, a cosmetic lens company based in Seoul, Korea. The truth is, K-lenspop sent me these lenses back in May, but for some reason it got lost in the local post office, so I only received them early this September ;____; But here they are, finally. The lenses are Ellen Panda PM 12 Blue* ♥

Last Friday, Aian and I met up with our friend Satsunyan of Seiyuuri / Seishun Kakumei. We bought a copy of Tan Jiu's SQ for her at MIBF, so we agreed to meet up for it at Town. And since we were in the area anyway, we took the chance to -finally- check out Ice Flower, a Korean dessert cafe in Molito. (Yay bingsu!)
Lastly, my super casual outfit, which I just threw together because it was raining on and off that day and I was too lazy to think of a cuter one. (PS - I promise to do a proper post on Ice Flower next time!)

Hey everyone—apologies for disappearing for a week! The truth is I've had this post in my head since I published the last one, but I didn't know how to go about posting it. I really wanted to do a Life Lately post for August, but when I tried looking for photos I couldn't find much. I think the reason is because Aian's been really busy with projects lately, so we've been spending most of our time at home. The only ever times we went out were when we went to eat out, hang out at Mr. Park's, or see a movie (but we only saw two recently – One Piece Gold and Train to Busan), and when I'm at home I only ever take snaps of the kids (the cats, if you're still wondering), so I just gathered what I could from my phone.

Hey everyone, I'm back with a quick makeup review! I bought this item late last month and only got to take photos of it recently. (Even though I was super excited to show it to everyone!) It's Tony Moly's Cheektone Single Powder Blusher in P07 Orange Shower (灬ºωº灬) ♥

We found a new spot to hang out near Aian's place! It's Mr. Park's Bread & Cake, a small bakery and cafe in BFRV. I've heard about Mr. Park's from my friends who like cute cafes before, but I never got to visit one until now. This branch seems smaller than the ones I've seen in pictures online, but it's nice and quiet, which I really like. So far we've tried their Chocomint frappe, egg tarts, and their Chocoholic bingsu. I really liked the first two, but the bingsu was just so-so. The Chocomint Frappe was our favorite! It's a great alternative to Starbucks' Peppermint Mocha, which we only ever get during Christmas season. I also liked the egg tarts, but I've become way too used to the taste of Lord Stow's so I keep comparing all the egg tarts I've tasted to theirs. They were still good, but not as good as Lord Stow's. As for the bingsu, it was way too sweet for me, and honestly it was just a bunch of chocolate-flavored cereals and snacks put on top of chocolate ice cream and bananas. The ice was melted halfway when it got to us too, so it looked like chocolate soup after a few minutes. I think next time we're better off trying the Red Bean or Fruits bingsu, since I feel those won't be too sweet. Overly sweet bingsu aside, I feel like their other offerings such as their breads and savory dishes might be good too – I'll give those a try next time. Service is great too, plus they always have K-POP songs playing, so it's a really feel-good place.
UPDATE (08/30/16)
We've been here at least two more times after I posted this entry, so I thought I'd write a little update. Their cream puffs are REALLY GOOD. (Big thanks to Luie and Den for recommending them!) I also liked their danish pastry, but that's probably because I'm really fond of pastries in general. Aian seemed to like their cinnamon roll as well. A friend on Twitter also mentioned that their jams were good, but I haven't tried them yet. As for drinks, I still have not tried any drinks other than the chocomint frappe.. because chocomint hehe. If I ever do, then I'll maybe update this again ;)Mr. Park's is right along BF Resort Drive – it's on the right side if you're coming from the main gate, just before you reach the intersection between BF Resort Drive and Gloria Diaz Street. It's nearby Cerealicious Cafe, which is a Pokestop, by the way! It shouldn't be hard to find, especially since their lights are usually so bright during the evenings. They're open almost 24 hours (almost, because they close at some point to clean up, I forgot what time), so it's perfect for us night owls. If you're from BFRV and have an intense love for bread like myself, I definitely recommend checking this place out ♡
Since I talked about how Ciara and I tried the purikura booth at Kidzoona at Robinsons Galleria last time, I thought I'd share our photos today! It's been years since I last had a purikura session; I'd forgotten how fun it really is! * u *
If you're wondering how we got copies of our photos, you can check out Ciara's post on how to download them via the Puripix app here! You can actually only choose two shots per session (one per person, and you can choose different ones), but thanks to our friend Sachi, we were able to get all of them! (Thank you + love you *kissyface emoji*)
