review : EO Flexwear Illusions II Sienna Contact Lens

Flexwear Illusions II Sienna | chainyan.co
I mentioned in a previous post that I bought new lenses to match my updated glasses prescription. I'm gonna talk about them today! They're contact lenses from Executive Optical. It was my first time buying lenses from EO, so I wasn't familiar with their lens offerings. It took me about 15 minutes to decide on a pair, since I was comparing all the available designs to lenses that I've already tried before. The SA's in EO Southmall were very helpful though. After much deliberation, I finally settled on the Flexwear Illusions II Sienna.

The price for these lenses on EO's site is P790, but I only paid P590 when I bought these at their store. Maybe they were on sale..? I'm not sure. The lenses came with a free bottle of lens solution and a lens case.

COLOR & DESIGN

These are supposedly 4-tone lenses, but I can only see 3 colors—yellow, light brown, and the black limbal ring. In the close-up photos it seems very yellow, but on my dark brown eyes the color appears to be more of a nice light brown. Honey brown? The design reminds me a bit of bi-color carnations! Cute.

ENLARGEMENT

At 14mm, these aren't super enlarging. The diameter indicated on the package is the diameter of the lens as a whole, and it's possible that the graphic diameter may be even smaller. So for these, I'd say the graphic diameter is around 13.5~13.8mm. It still manages to cover my eye completely, but just barely. I noticed that in some of the photos I took, you can see a tiny part of my iris peeping out from the edge of the lens.

COMFORT

Very comfortable when worn. No discomfort even after I've worn them for almost 8+ hours outside.

FINAL THOUGHTS

To be honest, when I was buying these, I thought of them as just replacement lenses that I'd use while I'm unable to purchase my usual pair, especially since I wasn't familiar with the brands EO had in store. Then I found out that all the lenses being sold under EO are actually manufactured by NEO Vision, a contact lens company in Korea, and distributed by EO in the Philippines under the brand name "Flexwear". After doing some research it seems like they're known for producing some of the most comfortable lenses available in the market. And although I've never tried their lenses before, the lenses that I got now are proof of that. My eyes get irritated quite easily, but I didn't have any problems with this particular lens.

If you're looking for natural-looking lenses for daily use, I recommend checking this and all other Flexwear Illusions II lenses out. Flexwear is only available in the Philippines, but international readers can just check out NEO Vision, because the lenses are pretty much the same, just with different names. (I'm assuming the NEO Vision version of Flexwear Illusions II Sienna would be NEO Glamour Brown/Hazel/Honey. I'm not 100% sure of the color, but the design is very close!)

You can get these lenses online at Executive Optical for P790, but I recommend checking your local EO for any on-going promos ;)
