Finally back with a new outfit post. I haven't been able to take outfit photos recently, mostly because I've been waking up late in the afternoon ever since I got my iPhone 4S earlier this month, urk. Another reason is because I've found it nearly impossible to get myself to dress up nicely in this sweltering summer heat. The excuses I've been coming up with on this blog are piling up, I know, and I apologize. I think recently the reason why I haven't been blogging as much as I have before is because I'd much rather have a few good entries than saturate everyone's dashboards with a ton of haphazardly-put-together ones. Also, I don't want to grow tired of blogging. I've seen a ton of good bloggers lose their drive for blogging.. I don't want that to happen to me, so I tiny breaks in between posts. (I do update my Instagram regularly though!)
Going back to my outfit.. don't you think I look like a cupcake? I really like this silhouette. Reminds me of a cupcake / unicorn / fairy princess. The only thing missing is pastel hair, which I am still on the fence about. (I do like it quite a lot, I just have a bit of a problem with maintenance and aftercare.) I received the dress and shoes from MartofChina.com about a month or so ago, but I've only tried them on now. This whole look, even the makeup and all, is inspired by AMO-chan. Also partly inspired by the song that's been stuck in my head for some time now, from which the title of this post was derived.
Earlier this week I received quite a pleasant surprise on my doorstep. (Well, not exactly my doorstep because it had to take a bit of a detour.. but that's a whole different story.) This surprise came in the form of a cute little box of macarons from Bellefleur by Beatrix. Bellefleur is a small home-based business co-founded by two sisters, Beatrix and Kim Atienza, sometime late last year. They specialize in creating quality home-baked treats such as French macarons, cupcakes, and more. Beatrix handles all the baking and product development, while Kim is in charge of the photography and marketing. All Bellefleur products are made from scratch, using only the finest of ingredients. What's more, all their products are preservative-free.
Truth be told, before this I wasn't really much of a macaron nut, as all the macarons I've tried before are either too sweet or too crumbly for my taste. This is the first time I've really enjoyed eating macarons, both the sweetness level and the consistency were just right. Of course, they look great in photos too, which is a big plus for me! (ღ˘⌣˘áƒ¦)
Also, I found out through Beatrix herself that though majority of their customers purchase their goods for personal consumption or as gifts, recently their products are being used more and more as party giveaways and as part of dessert buffets. If you're hosting a party or an event and you want something sweet to serve your guests, you might want to get in touch with Bellefleur. I highly recommend getting their macarons in every flavor! Right now though, they don't offer a delivery service; all orders are picked up from their house in Greenhills. For orders and product/price inquiries, you can contact Bellefleur by sending them a PM / text / email here:

Currently lusting over each and every thing that AMO-chan is wearing in the photos above for the Candy Stripper Spring 2013 lookbook. Lavender love! I really like how Spring in Japan for some girls means all-out pastel. I want to try something like it in the future but I don't think I can pull it off as well as AMO-chan. One of my secret dreams in life is to become as pretty and as fairy-like as her, haha! Not that that's happening anytime soon, as I am a bear in real life. Maybe in the next one, if I'm lucky.
If you're wondering why this lookbook features only one outfit, it's because Candy Stripper has a weird way of creating their lookbooks for each season. They have different versions: the AMO version (1+2), the AYAMO version (1+2), and the AMOYAMO version (1). I've provided links so you can view each one. I think by doing this, CS can cater to all of their fans from the both sides of the spectrum-- the fairy type, represented by AMO, and the rock type, represented by AYAMO. Sounds kind of weird, with all the types and things, and it sometimes feels like I'm talking about Pokemon rather than fashion styles, but that's how everyone describes their styles in aomoji-kei language, it seems. (There are more types: kid's rock, handsome, feminine, natural.. you get the hang of things after a while but it's still a bit strange once you try talking to other people about it, haha!)
If you're wondering why I haven't been posting anything on my blog recently, it's because I'm currently stuck between reality and the virtual world.. to be specific, the world of Elgard. Sigh. And I here I thought I wouldn't get hooked on any MMORPGs anymore. I blame Aian for this completely! Other than that, I've been attending meetings for Dokissaten, going to interviews, and helping Luisa out with her shoots for her exhibit on the 21st. (Speaking of which, please do come!)
Super busy! I feel that because of all these things I haven't been able to have any 'me' time (meaning, personal shoots) so hopefully I can do a couple before the month ends. I also have four reviews and a makeup tutorial that I need to get to doing, so please look out for that. Also, you might've noticed that the photos seem to have improved in quality quite drastically towards the end of the post.. it's because late last month (or was it early this month?) my dad gave me his iPhone 4S. I use it mostly for Instagram + Elgard. I haven't gotten a microsim yet so I still use my Nokia C3 for texting purposes, but it's usually in my bag so I don't use it much. I used to be hooked on Line Play but these days I don't play anymore. I'm on Elgard -almost- 24/7 ;;
