Earlier this week I received quite a pleasant surprise on my doorstep, which came in the form of a cute little box of macarons from Bellefleur by Beatrix. Bellefleur is a small home-based business co-founded by two sisters, Beatrix and Kim Atienza, sometime late last year. They specialize in creating quality home-baked treats such as French macarons, cupcakes, and more. Beatrix handles all the baking and product development, while Kim is in charge of the photography and marketing. All Bellefleur products are made from scratch, using only the finest of ingredients. What's more, all their products are preservative-free.

Look at all those cute colored macarons! I was given a box of 12 assorted macarons—9 flavors plus 3 doubled.

Clockwise from top-left: earl grey, red velvet, hazelnut, strawberry, dark chocolate, green tea, white chocolate. Not in the plate are salted caramel and lemon. As of now, Bellefleur has 13 macaron flavors, with Hazelnut being their newest one.

I was told that since it isn't their peak season, right now they're only carrying the flavors that are more in demand. Hazelnut is part of our their "summer" macaron series. Don't you just love the purple/pink combi? They'll be adding new summer flavors soon as well.

You can view their macaron flavor guide here. I wanted to rate each flavor as I ate them but they were all so good that I'd already managed to eat half before then, without even noticing it. I do have a couple of favorites though!

My personal faves: green tea and earl grey. Both tea-based flavors, how typical of me! I might try their cappuccino one next time. I also really liked the white and dark chocolate ones, but these two are my favorites.

Also, I found out through Beatrix herself that though majority of their customers purchase their goods for personal consumption or as gifts, recently their products are being used more and more as party giveaways and as part of dessert buffets. If you're hosting a party or an event and you want something sweet to serve your guests, you might want to get in touch with Bellefleur. I highly recommend getting their macarons in every flavor! Right now though, they don't offer a delivery service; all orders are picked up from their house in Greenhills. For orders and product/price inquiries, you can contact Bellefleur by sending them a PM / text / email here:
