Three weeks' worth of photos in one week! I already knew I was cheating by posting two weeks' worth of photos on some previous Project 52 entries, but three weeks' worth?? I realized I may be stretching it a bit this time. The thing is, even though I've been religiously taking photos every day, sometimes I'm unable to put the post up on the day that I want to (that is, every Sunday). So I've been thinking of just renaming the whole thing into a Project 365, since that's essentially what I've been doing anyway. I'll continue to take photos once a day, but I'll post them whenever I feel like posting them. Sounds okay, right?

Things that made me happy recently:
  1. I finally made the huge jump from my old online name 'OhMyLittleGirl' to my new name 'Chainyan'! Honestly, I've been wanting to do this for such a long time now.. I'm so happy I finally did it. I was really scared about doing it because it would mean rebranding my blog and starting from the bottom again. But I'm super happy about the results. I'm thankful to all my friends as well. They all said nothing but positive things about the big change, so I felt very encouraged by everyone ♥
  2. Speaking of my new name! Our good friend Chichi, who also happens to be one of my favorite artists, surprised me with this painting to congratulate me for the new name! I was so surprised because it was so random! And there are hydrangeas, too! My favorite~ I was so happy to see this. It's always a happy thing to be gifted an illustration by a favorite artist. Chichi is the best ♥ ♥ ♥
  3. Aian and I finished watching Crime Scene 2! We've started watching season 3, and might watch season 1 if we feel like it.
  4. Ame celebrated his birthday last May 24th! 2 years since we found our derpiest babycat~
  5. Getting a skin analysis and facial at Derma 360. I'm a skincare nut so the whole experience made me happy.
  6. Having ramen and gyoza on a cold night.
  7. The day after a rainy night, a stray kitty that looked to be lost turned up in front of our place. We tried to feed him but he wouldn't eat much. Upon closer inspection, he turned out to be an American shorthair! I was so surprised to see a cat with such a breed suddenly turn up near our place, but I was also very worried because he had a huge scar on the side of his face. I spent the next two days searching on Facebook and Twitter for anyone looking for a lost cat in BFRV, but there wasn't anyone. No one was asking around for the cat either. I felt sad that there was this small kitten that someone probably just bought but didn't even bother to look for. I really wanted to adopt him myself, because in those 3 days he'd already become so attached to me, but sadly we can't take in any more cats. And so, Aian asked a friend of ours if he wanted to adopt one more kitty. They'd already adopted two other kittens previously, so Aian thought he'd be okay with one more. And he was, so the kitty went to live with them. I'm somewhat relieved that our friends who adopted him live nearby though, since that means we can go visit him anytime heheheh.
  8. Managed to take a photo of the fire trees before the flowers disappear completely. I don't know what their real name is, but I've always called them fire trees heheh. I think of these trees as the Philippine version of cherry blossoms, as they only appear in the summer and disappear a short while after blooming. When the flowers fall, the ground becomes covered in a beautiful red-orange color. Because the rainy season came really early this year, I thought I wouldn't be able to take photos of these beautiful trees. I'm glad I was still able to.
  9. Satisfying my sinigang sa miso craving.
  10. Chill nights at Kat's Cafe. The last time we visited Kat's, their space was much smaller. They moved to Robinsons Las PiƱas after that time, so we couldn't visit. But now they've returned to BF Resort, and in a much bigger space! I believe the new space used to be their old house. The feel of the new cafe is very homey. They have more choices for food and drinks now, too. The best thing about Kat's is that they're only a short walk from our place, so we can have their coffee and sammiches anytime! Plus they're open until 10-ish in the evening, so we can take our time enjoying our food and coffee ♥
  11. Currently listening to: my KPOP summer songs playlist!

What's made you happy recently?

To have a better appreciation of life's moments, no matter how mundane, my 365 day challenge for 2017 is to take photos every day of the year, and at the same time write a list of things that have made me happy recently.
