review : OLENS Smoky Gray Contact Lens

I'm sure all my BLINK friends already know this, but BLACKPINK's 2nd album, BORN PINK, comes out on the 16th! How excited is everyone?? With the comeback only a less than a week away, I was asked by OLENS to re-introduce this particular lens design to my readers. It's the Smoky Gray*, which is Lisa's OLENS pick! 🖤💗

The Smoky Gray is Lisa's OLENS pick, but she and Jisoo both wore this lens for their recent teaser posters. Lisa also wore them for another look in the Pink Venom MV. It's not very noticeable in the posters because of the editing, but the lenses are Smoky Gray lenses. (It's true! Source: I got this information directly from OLENS HQ hehe 🧐)


The Smoky series comes in Gray, Brown, and Olive. Graphic diameter is 13.3mm. I already did a review for all colors so today I'll only be focusing on the Smoky Gray, but you can read the full review here!

Smoky Gray — OLENS Global, Shopee

The Smoky Gray are blue-toned ice gray lenses with a soft gray outer ring and a soft hazel inner ring. The color combination is so pretty! I love how the gray appears so vivid even against my dark brown eyes. I mentioned before that the Smoky Gray seems to be the hardest out of the three colors to wear with daily or laid-back looks, but Lisa's able to pull it off just fine?? I guess it's just a matter of attitude, haha!


Quick comparison of the three colors: Gray > Brown > Olive. OLENS 1Day lenses are all made from Puscon (Phosphorylcholine), which a highly biocompatible and hydrophilic material. Puscon lenses have higher water content than most lenses (48%), so you're able to wear them for a long period of time without experiencing any discomfort. My eyes tend to get dry very easily but I don't have any problems when wearing any of OLENS 1Day lenses. I actually prefer the 1Day lenses because of this reason! These are $21 for 10P, which is 5 pairs of lenses.


Here's a look I did with the Smoky Gray lenses. These lenses are just so pretty and chic, I can understand why Lisa likes wearing them often!


I think OLENS did a good job choosing Lisa to represent the Smoky series, too. They really go with her overall aesthetic/vibe. She wore the Brown ones during the Bulgari event in Paris and she looked SOOO beautiful 😍 If lenses like these are your thing then definitely check the Smoky series out!
