October (my birthmonth!) was filled with a lot of pleasant surprises! In addition to getting to work with a new contact lens brand, I was also given the opportunity to try a new Korean skincare brand—Huxley. Through StyleKorean's Try Me Review Me program, I was chosen to try their Secret of Sahara Oil Essence & Mask Set*. I've heard a lot of good things about this brand, so I'm curious to see if it really lives up to its hype!

Earlier this month I was given a chance to review the new Scandi* color contact lenses from OLENS. It's been a while since I got to play around with lenses so I was super excited! If you're a K-Pop fan, you might already be familiar with OLENS as BLACKPINK are endorsers of the brand. Several of their lenses can be seen worn in BP's music videos. In fact, Scandi lenses were used in the Ice Cream MV 🍦✨

Terribly late, as usual, but here's my August 2019 photodiary. It's so strange. These were from last year, which feels like an eternity ago, but the scenes are still all so vivid in my head.

In an attempt to regain some semblance of control over my life, I decided to do some much-needed decluttering at home, starting with the sad-looking basket of skincare empties sitting inside my closet. It's been a while since I did an empties post too (or any post for that matter), so the timing's perfect, I guess.

Figured now would be a good time as any to let everyone know that I'm still alive. Hello! 👋🏻

Found more film photos while cleaning out folders on the PC. These were taken January 2009. Judging from the crazy light leak on one of the photos, probably shot using the cheap Hello Kitty toy camera I had at the time, heh. Mostly cat and sky photos—not a lot has changed in 11 years, I guess.

For day 2 of our trip, we technically didn't spend it in Kuala Lumpur. After years of stalking their Instagram, I wanted to finally visit the famous Stickerrific store, so Aian and I went all the way to Petaling Jaya, a city to the west of KL, to check it out. I still don't have a good enough grasp of Malaysia's geography, but think of it as similar to Muntinlupa and Cavite, in the way that the two cities are right beside each other but one is considered part of NCR and the other isn't. Or at least, that's what I think it's like! ;;

I was going through my photos from last year's annual KL trip, and I realized I hadn't posted photos from our trip the year before that. (I found the photos sleeping in Lightroom 😔) Now that I have more than enough free time on my hands since community quarantine is extended until the end of the month, I'm going to try and clear my backlog from 2018 and 2019. (The keyword here being "try".) 2018 feels so long ago though, so I'm not sure if I remember what I was thinking when I took these photos, but I'll do my best!

Hello, it's been a while :) Sorry for the inactivity on here. I mentioned in my previous post that I had to take a bit of a break to focus on my mental health. I'm doing much better now though, and am slowly getting back into the swing of things. I actually meant to return to blogging earlier, but then the community quarantine and lockdown on Manila happened half a month ago, and I didn't feel good about blogging at the time. I kept myself busy with journaling instead. While looking for photos to use for my spreads I was able to go through my 2019 backlog, so I thought I'd put this post together as well. This was July last year, through my phone ♥

—aaand I'm back! Sorry for the radio silence these past few months. I realized this is the longest that I've been away from the blog, so I thought I'd pop back in really quickly for an update. Just so you know I'm still alive.
