Kuala Lumpur 2018, part 2

For day 2 of our trip, we technically didn't spend it in Kuala Lumpur. After years of stalking their Instagram, I wanted to finally visit the famous Stickerrific store, so Aian and I went all the way to Petaling Jaya, a city to the west of KL, to check it out. I still don't have a good enough grasp of Malaysia's geography, but think of it as similar to Muntinlupa and Cavite, in the way that the two cities are right beside each other but one is considered part of NCR and the other isn't. Or at least, that's what I think it's like! ;;

Finding Jaya One was easy enough. We just took a GrabCar from KL and we got there in a little less than 45 minutes. Finding the store once we got to Jaya One was a little harder, though. Stickerrific has instructions up on their Insta on how to get to there, but apparently I'm quite bad at following directions....

When we finally got there, we saw this cute kitty outside! Everyone at Stickerrific are all big cat-lovers. They feed the strays around their area, and we chanced upon this one who was eating when we arrived~

The first thing that I saw upon entering. Rolls and rolls of washi tape! I remember standing here for about 5 minutes just being in awe and freaking out to everyone on my IG stories, haha!

By this point I was already pretty overwhelmed. I mean, who wouldn't be! They had so much stuff that I didn't know where to look first, honestly. Aian was much calmer than I was. I only remember grabbing a new Traveler's Notebook, which was the reason why I wanted to go there in the first place.

Corocoro Coronya stickers! That I completely forgot to come back for! Haha ;___;

Stickerrific also has a small activity area where they hold workshops. On days they don't have workshops, I think you can use the activity area for journaling and other activities. I remember seeing a drink menu when we went last year, but we've never stayed at the store long enough to ask about it. Next time, maybe!

The other reason why I wanted to visit so much: the cats! If you're familiar with Stickerrific, then you know that there are kitties that call the store their home—Luke, Leia, Chewie, and Han (who they hadn't adopted yet in 2018). This chubby baby girl is Leia!

When we were there they had a little baby who they were fostering. S/he's already been adopted~

Luke! He was a bit skittish that day so I couldn't take a proper photo of him.

Chewie was sliiightly more cooperative.

After bothering the cats, it was back to browsing~

After going around the store one last time, I was finally satisfied with the items in my basket. I ended up getting...a lot. I used up most of the money I put aside for shopping, which only meant one thing—no more shopping for the duration of the trip. I had to say goodbye my 3CE lipsticks just like that, haha ;___; Oh well. I got a lot of good things, so it's not too bad.

In case you haven't seen it, you can check out my KL 2018 trip haul here.

Luke casually nyoom-ing away when we went to say goodbye, haha. I said goodbye from afar~

Once we were done with our Stickerrific visit, I contacted our friend Neesa for our yearly dinner meetup. It's become routine for us to meet every year when we're in Malaysia, and every time she'd bring us somewhere to have dinner. So for 2018 she brought us to eat pan mee! I liked it a lot.

After dinner she brought us to a nearby speakeasy so we could chat more while she and Aian got drinks. She introduced him to Jinro Toktok which is like carbonated soju, which he really liked LOL. He said the peach flavor was his favorite. (We didn't order the drink tower, btw! I just thought it was cute, haha.) Aian and I had Comic Fiesta the next day though, so we couldn't stay out too late. So after what I think was 3 rounds of drinks, we called it a night and went back to our Airbnb in KL.

Next up: Comic Fiesta 2018 photos! And maybe the last day of KL 2018, too. I don't think I took that many photos during these three days, so we'll see. Happy Sunday, everyone! :)
