Ever since I started hanging out in Las Piñas, I've always complained why there isn't anywhere we could go for quick coffee fixes. Even the nearest Starbucks was a trike and a jeep ride away. So when Aian told me about Kat's Café, I was eager to try it out. It was only a few blocks away, not even a 5-minute walk from where Aian lives! He'd already tried the cupcakes and he says they were really good. We went there one evening while we were in the area. Their Rocky Road cupcake was so good! That same day, one of the staff told me that they'd be having a bit of an event for Valentine's Day, so Aian and I decided to go. Valentine's in a super cute cafe sounds good to me!

Lots of yummy baked goodies~

Red Velvet Cupcakes! Believe it or not, it was my first time tasting one! I had mine with Cream Cheese Frosting.

The interior of the café is really cute, with lots of playful details. Our favorite thing to look at when we're here is this clock.

Red-haired Kimmidoll! Aian collects kokeshi and Kimmidolls so this caught his eye right away.

I don't know what these are, but I really want one!

Kat's Maccha frappe! It's sweeter than the usual matcha, but I like it that way so now I always order this.

The Red Velvet Cupcakes had tiny hearts on top of the frosting because it was Valentine's Day! So cute!

We also had Nutella bread and Death by Chocolate. I never thought I'd get so full just by eating cupcakes!

Kat, the owner, gave us an extra cupcake on the house! This was super yummy. Aian and I both wanted the strawberry slice for ourselves, so in the end we had to cut it in half. Haha!

The first time I went, I didn't bring a camera with me so I made sure I brought it along this time. I took a ton of photos because everything was just so cute! Kat, the owner, is really nice as well! I'm quite obsessed with cute afĂ©s and coffee shops, and I'm so glad that I was able to find one where I can hang out here in the South. I hope by looking at these I can convince you to visit the place in your spare time! Bring a friend, or a good book. Try the warm drinks as well. If you're as into cute places as I am, then I'm sure you're going to love it here ♥
VELOCI watch c/o LTimestudio, from Taobao cherry hairclip.
If you're a huge One Piece nut like myself, then you must already know where the title is from right? Haha! I've put myself on a shopping ban recently, as I pretty much spent what would be a year's worth of expenses on clothes and magazines alone just last month.. but it seems that I completely forgot the possibility of sales happening. More specifically, sales in Uniqlo. Even more specifically, sales in Uniqlo for One Piece shirts. P300 pesos off, limited time offer. Right when I just happened to be at MoA. Would you believe it? I was only supposed to buy one shirt as I very rarely visit MoA and I figured it would be a good chance to buy another one. But seeing that I could get two for a little over the price of one.. and that I'd never get a chance like this again (or at least I think so), I caved in. I'm weak when it comes to sales and anything One Piece related, it seems.
Moving on.. don't you think Tony Tony Chopper is super cute? He's my favorite character in One Piece! I have a ton of stuff that has Chopper on it. You could say I'm quite obsessed. (I actually want to buy even more Choppy shirts, but ah. Shopping ban, shopping ban.) I've never been this obsessed about a fictional character, not since the kusuriuri (medicine seller) from Mononoke anyway. In One Piece, all the pirates get an alias of sorts when they get bounties and their names get posted on wanted posters. Chopper's is "Cotton Candy Lover" Chopper! So cute. I wore all pastels to match the theme of cotton candy! The watch I'm wearing kind of resembles the stick that they use for cotton candy in fairs as well right? Also, it reminds me of peppermint candy! I think, if I'd worn striped stockings instead, I would've looked more like a walking cotton candy stick. Haha!
Cats, cats, and more cats please! The only thing I need in this outfit is a cat skirt and cat shoes! I've been hoarding cat-print things left and right ever since the start of 2013, and I was so happy when SheInside sent me this megadorable kitty sweater to add to my growing collection! Is it just me or am I slowly turning into a crazy cat lady? Gasp.
Speaking of cats, if you're into cats and melancholic Japanese movies, you might want to check this out: Rentaneko. Sayoko, the protagonist, rents out cats to help lonely people fill the emptiness in their hearts. Feeling lonely? Rent a cat! I haven't watched the movie myself but my cousin and brother have, they were the ones who told me I should watch it. If you're a huge cat person like myself (or even if you aren't, really), then you definitely should as well!

Photos from last Saturday evening, my first time at Mercato Centrale at Bonifacio Global City. I've never been to Midnight Mercato before, so this was a new experience for me. First thing I ate when we got there was Ferrero gelato! I've been craving for ice cream for quite some time so when I saw the gelato stall I just had to buy one. Aian got a bubblegum-flavored one. Despite my craving for it, Aian actually beat me to the stall when he saw that the bubblegum-flavored gelato was almost gone. Haha! Because there wasn't enough for another serving (since Aian ordered two scoops) he got to have a little extra, which is why his serving is bigger than mine. I also got myself a chicken pesto wrap and lots of nori strips. I bought myself some pistachio sansrival to eat at home as well. I had fun going around the tent trying to decide what to eat. I wanted to try a lot of other food though. There was so much to choose from but only one me, sadly!
I remember saying once that this skirt reminds me so much of Grimoire, and of dolly kei in general, so I thought I'd wear a wine-colored top to match it! Also, added a couple of accessories with red accents just because ♥ ♥
I really like this skirt, the tapestry fabric is gorgeous and all, but alas, it doesn't fit me. They're actually culottes (or skorts), see, and when it comes to anything that vaguely resembles pants, I always have to fit it before buying it. I'm a pear shape, so it's always so hard to find shorts that fit properly. I can wear it just fine, but getting the waistband up to my waist is frustrating. It just stops mid-hip and I have to force it to get it up. Once it's up, then okay, but when I have to take it off again..... ugh. I was planning on cutting it up and adding a zipper instead, but I'm not that skilled and I don't have the time to have it done professionally. So sadly, I'll have to let go of this lovely piece. If you're interested in buying it, it's up for sale here.
