review : EOS Cat Eyes Gray Lens

Hi everyone! I'm finally back from Kuala Lumpur! To be honest my body's still a bit sore from walking so much these past few days, but I'm really glad that I can get to blogging again! I have a ton of photos and stories I want to show you all, as this year's trip was the most ~touristy~ that we've ever been since we started visiting Malaysia every year from 2013. I'll get to sharing those as soon as I finish working on all the photos, but for now, here's a review I did before we left for KL! :)

Speaking of reviews, these days I've been churning out reviews one after the other that I'm quite surprised at myself, since I've always been a lazy blogger. I don't know if you guys remember, but a few months back I talked about how I wasn't able to review lenses for over a year. The truth is, during that time, I continued to receive a contact lenses from sponsors, but I never actually got around to reviewing them. I still feel very guilty about it, so I thought I'd review them now. These lenses already expired a long time ago (some of these were from 2014), so I can't take photos of them when worn anymore. So what I did was, I looked for photos of me wearing any of the lenses I still had. Luckily, I managed to find a few of them sitting in the PC, so I'll be reviewing the ones in those! The first pair is EOS Cat Eyes Gray*, sent to me by LoveShoppingholics

COLOR & DESIGN

The color is a mix of grey and yellow, with a black limbal ring. The design is quite interesting because the limbal ring isn't a full circle if you look at the close-up photos you can see that there are spaces in between the ring. It's because the whole lens has a diffused (?) sort of design. I really like it. Even the center ring isn't 100% opaque. This way it blends much more nicely with my eye color, as compared to designs where the center ring is just a solid circle.

ENLARGEMENT

At 14.5mm, the enlargement is quite nice. Large enough to look dolly, but still natural-looking. Not too large that it would look alien-like. This is just a personal preference, but I find that 14.5mm is the best diameter for natural-looking doll eyes.

COMFORT

As I remember, these were very comfortable when worn. No discomfort even after I've worn them for 8+ hours.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Out of all the lenses I received in 2014, these were my favorite. Very pretty and perfect for LARME-kei, which I'd just started getting into at the time. Too bad my eyes were in a really bad condition then, so I had to stop wearing lenses for a while. (I had a hard time looking for photos wearing them!) Given the chance, I'd definitely get a pair of these again!
