review : GEO Starmish Brown Lens

April 1, 2013 No comments

Hello everyone! It's been a looong time since I last reviewed contact lenses. I've actually had this pair for quite some time, sent to me by EyeCandy's along with a box of falsies (which I will review soon as well), but I kept putting off taking photos. Today's lenses I'll be reviewing are a fairly new design from the GEO Princess Mimi series, called Starmish Brown Lenses * ♥

This particular series is produced by Mai Hirose, a gyaru model and part of the current Popteen roster. There are only two colors, brown and black. I'm not really a fan of black lenses, so I chose the brown one instead.

The lenses in the case.

Full face, with makeup and all. These lenses seem to give off a mature look.

COLOR / DESIGN: ★★★★☆
I really like the color of these lenses. Most brown lenses tend to be too dark that it looks black, or too light that it looks yellow. These are just the right shade of brown for me. Also, the color is quite opaque so you can still see the design even on dark brown eyes like mine. I really like the design as well, it's almost natural but still eye-catching. The only thing I don't like is that the pupil hole is a bit too defined, I would've liked it to have a sort of gradation towards the middle so that it blends in more naturally.

ENLARGEMENT: ★★★★☆
Though not as enlarging as other lenses, these still give the effect of bigger eyes without looking too alienish. I personally like the size for this design.

COMFORT: ★★★★★
As with all of my GEO lenses, no problems at all! Super comfortable.

OVERALL: ★★★★☆
Four out of five stars. These are lovely lenses; they look nice both up close and far away. They're perfect if you want natural yet eye-catching lenses. These are nice for more mature makeup looks as well.
