review : Wellage Real Hyaluronic 100 Blue Ampoule + Cream

Here's a new skincare pair I got to try recently—the Real Hyaluronic 100 Blue Ampoule and Cream from Wellage 💙 Prior to receiving these I was already familiar with Wellage and their Blue Ampoule since I've seen a lot of Korean influencers hyping them up, but what's interesting is that I've never seen anyone outside of Korea talking about it. Just goes to show how K-beauty products that are popular internationally differ from the products that are actually popular in Korea. And the Blue Ampoule being a constant steady seller in Korea must mean it's good, right?

Real Hyaluronic 100 Blue Ampoule

Ampoule containing 9 types of hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan to deeply hydrate the skin, plus panthenol to soothe and moisturize. It is suuuper lightweight, almost like water! Absorbs quickly without any residual stickiness. Keeps skin hydrated throughout the day. Great for oily/combination skin types, especially for oily-dehydrated skin because you can layer as much as you need without it feeling heavy. This product won 2nd place for Best Hydrating Essence/Serum in 2021's Glowpick Beauty Awards, and it remains a steady seller on Olive Young even now. A lot of newer and trendier products have come out, but this ampoule still manages to hold its own!

Real Hyaluronic 100 Cream

Moisture-compressing cream with a tight moisture barrier to lock in hydration. It feels a bit thick upon initial application, but sinks into the skin once blended out. Locks in moisture to provide long-lasting hydration. Considering how lightweight the ampoule is, I was expecting the cream to be slightly lighter. This is more suited for drier skin types, or if you have oily or combination skin, better to use this only at night. I also have to report that this might cause irritation if you use it on irritated/sensitized skin (like it did on Aian when he used it after a full day in the sun), so please check the ingredients list before you try it! Remember, YMMV!

This might be TMI but one of the effects of breastfeeding that I absolutely did not expect was my skin becoming parched all the time 😅 On top of drinking twice my daily intake of water, I've been using lots of hyaluronic acid products like these two to keep my skin from drying out. I'm happy to report it's been working well for me so far! 🥰
