Back again (after 10,000 years) to introduce a product that I've never talked about on the blog before: temporary tattoos! Today I'll be showing you products from a Korean temporary tattoo brand, Freaky Nine 💕
Freaky Nine is a recently launched temporary tattoo brand based in Korea. What makes them unique is that they work with real tattoo artists to create their designs. This piqued my interest the most because I follow a lot of Korean tattoo artists on IG! They currently have 10 artists on board, each one with a different drawing style.
I got five designs in total! I really love these minimalist color tattoos. Some of them have multiple smaller designs in one sheet, so you can use them all together or separately. You can even mix designs from the same artist!
From L to R: (Urban) Direction of the Star, (Haesi) Soar, (Wana) poin, (Doran) Sparking Heart Wave & Swimming Whale, (Doran) Soft Tulip & Möbius’ Rose & Sparkly Tulip
For this post I chose the two tulip designs from tattooist Doran's Soft Tulip & Möbius’ Rose & Sparkly Tulip set!
Unlike regular temporary tattoos, Freaky Nine tattoos don't need water! All you need to do is clean the area with the provided alcohol pad, stick the tattoo sticker on, apply pressure for a few seconds, and then peel the plastic off and you're done! Longevity is pretty good—designs with thinner lines last about 2~3 days before starting to fade, while the bigger ones can even last up to 5 days. They do get dirty as time goes by though, so I suggest putting on a fresh one if you plan on using these for going out, events, etc. Removal is easy, too; just use an oil-based cleanser. I actually tried using a double effect makeup remover and it came off easily.
So pretty! I've been really into tulips these days, so I was excited to see how this one would look 🌷 The white outline from the sticker is a bit visible right after application, but you can just remove it with a wet wipe.
What I love about Freaky Nine is that they have a lot of photos of what their designs look like on different parts of the body. They even have placement suggestions for each design! I personally have been wanting to get a tattoo on my wrist for the longest time, but because I'm indecisive I probably won't push through with it until I'm super super SUPER sure I want one lol. But with these, I now have an idea of how tattoos would look like on me!
You can purchase these beautiful temporary tattoos here on the Freaky Nine global site. You can get free shipping if you buy $34 worth of products, so I recommend buying a lot and sharing with friends hehe. Personally I'm eyeing the Romantic Cat design from this set. I've been wanting to get a similar moon tattoo because of Seungwoo, and the addition of the little cat is just too cute! Will def try more designs in the future 💜
