Colorful Moments — OLENS x BLACKPINK Lookbook 2021

I am back with yet another contact lens review! Some of you might remember that I previously reviewed OLENS Global's popular Scandi lenses, which are also known as BLACKPINK lenses. OLENS recently came out with a new lookbook for 2021 featuring BLACKPINK, their long-time muses and brand ambassadors, and they kindly sent me all the lenses in the collection to try. Super excited to share them with all of my BLINK friends! 🥰

Lisa's Color — Spanish 1Day Circle Gray (10P / 20P)

Classic is Forever. For Lisa who shines with any concept or stage, OLENS chose the classic Spanish 1Day Circle Gray. The Spanish Circle Gray are bluish gray lenses with a gray outer ring and a gold inner ring. These are the circle lens version of OLENS' Spanish Gray lenses. The outer ring blends well with the original Spanish design, expressing a strong but soft look. With a graphic diameter of 13.3mm, the enlargment is quite natural even for circle lenses. The color and design is very chic, but the circle enlargement keeps the whole look soft, so it balances out. Very fitting for Lisa, who can go from fierce to cute to fierce again at the drop of a hat!

Jennie's Color — Scandi 1Day Gray

Timeless Modernity. For Jennie, who became a fashion icon around the world with her timeless and sophisticated style, OLENS chose the Scandi 1Day Gray. Gray lenses with a gold inner ring, with a graphic diameter of 11.9mm. Compared to the Spanish line, Scandi lenses are a true gray when worn. I really like that because I'm not super fond of blue-gray lenses. It's been a while since I wore these, and once again I was surprised at just how different I look with them on! Style-wise, these are definitely 100% Jennie lenses. Very modern and chic, just like her. (Might wear these more often from now on, since another idol I bias has been wearing them a lot recently—TBZ's New!)

Rosé's Color — Scandi 1Day Olive

Believe in Individuality. For Rosé, with her unique beauty and unique color, OLENS chose the Scandi 1Day Olive. Muted olive green lenses with a gold inner ring. Out of all the Scandi lenses, these are the most natural-looking. It also has the most muted color out of all the olive lenses I've tried from OLENS. I can see how they suit Rosé, since her personal color is soft/muted. It looks sooo good on her, especially with her blonde hair! The olive color gives her that dreamy, understated, elegant look.

Jisoo's Color — ViVi Ring 1Day Brown (10P / 20P)

New Romanticism. For Jisoo, whose no-frills natural beauty and charm draws people in, OLENS chose the Vivi Ring 1Day Brown. One of OLENS' best-selling lenses. Creamy beige soft brown circle lenses with a clear outer ring. The outer ring isn't a solid line so it doesn't look too strong. Graphic diameter is 13.0mm, slightly smaller than Spanish Circle lenses. For Jisoo whose natural beauty makes her shine already, these lenses makes her eyes shine even more. They're actually known on SNS as Jisoo lenses because she made them super popular! I have an affinity for natural brown lenses, so I knew I'd like these the moment I saw them. The reason why I love lenses like these is because they give a very soft, romantic look. It goes well with my personal style, since I wear a lot of feminine and romantic style clothing. Definitely a new favorite of mine!

As with all of OLENS' 1Day lenses, all of these lenses are made from Puscon (Phosphorylcholine), a highly biocompatible and hydrophilic material. It has higher water content than most lenses (48%), so even if my eyes get dry easily I'm able to wear these for a long period of time without any problems. Super comfortable like all the other OLENS 1Day lenses I've tried.


And that's it! I really liked all of the lenses in the collection, especially because the lenses they chose fit the personality of each member well. My favorites are definitely Jisoo's Vivi Ring Brown and Jennie's Scandi Gray!
