review : GEO Xtra WT-B95 Grey Lens

August 9, 2013 No comments

Today I'm reviewing one of two lenses sent to me by LensVillage. I've actually had these lenses for about two months now, but I only got around to opening them a couple of weeks ago. They are Xtra WT-B95 Grey Lenses from GEO ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

Lenses in the case. Pretty spiderweb design is pretty!

When worn, close-up, under natural light.

I really, reeeally like the color, and these designs are just my thing, but I wish there was a tiny bit more of an outer ring. Maybe a not-so-opaque black ring? Or even just 1mm more. This is just personal preference! I was quite amazed at how vivid the pink is though.

Super enlarging at 15mm, but still not so huge that they're alien-looking.

COMFORT: ★★★★★
As with all of my GEO lenses, no problems at all! Very comfortable.

OVERALL: ★★★★☆
Four out of five stars. I know what you're thinking!! After all that swooning over these lenses, why just a four?? Because!! There's just one little thing which was the ultimate deal-breaker for me. These are only available in Plano (0.00). *cue screaming* And with me being my extreeemely near-sighted self, I can't wear these without wearing glasses. Please excuse me while I go cry I river now..

A few reminders:
☆ It is your responsibility to minimize the risk of wearing lenses, and you are best advised to consult your eye doctor beforehand. Kindly please read the wear & care guide carefully to ensure proper handling of lenses. The rule of thumb for lenses: if you experience any discomfort, remove the lens immediately.
☆ Though the lenses were sponsored by LensVillage, everything written here is 100% my honest opinion.
☆ All photos used in this review belong to me. Please do not take them without my permission!!

Other than that one tiny detail, these lenses are perfect. They're not too showy, but not at all boring. In my opinion, you can use these for a variety of looks, from mori girl to visual kei, or even just for everyday. You can even use these for cosplay, if they fit the character. Sadly though, they're only for those with 20/20 vision. Let's hope GEO releases them with grades soon!

There are still a ton of other contact lenses and other things here with me that I have yet to review, by the way. The reason why I wasn't able to make them recently is because Reimei (my 400D) was away for quite a bit since my brother borrowed him, but when I got him back, I found out that the kit lens attached to him was broken. And with just Ryuusei (my 5DMkI) and a 50mm lens, there wasn't much I could do, so I had to put off making reviews for a while. But now I can take photos again, thanks to Aian's new baby (G12!). So yay! I'll get to doing reviews again really soon, so please watch out for that ヽ(≧▽≦)ノ☆
