Mary&May, one of my favorite Korean skincare brands (super underrated, IMO), released tube versions of their best-selling creams late last year, and I finally got to try them! Initially posted this review on Instagram a couple of months ago, but I thought it would be better to have it on the blog instead, so here it is (*´︶`*)♡
Mary&May is a Korean skincare brand that focuses on genuine clean beauty. They take pride in being a true clean beauty brand, choosing only safe ingredients of the best quality to create highly effective skincare products. In addition to this, they make it a point to use eco-conscious packaging for all of their products. And while not all their products are 100% vegan, all of them are certified cruelty-free (not tested on animals).
Enriched with 71.8% Houttuynia Cordata Extract and 9.7% Tea Tree Extract, plus Panthenol and 6 kinds of Hyaluronic Acid, this cream soothes troubled skin while hydrating and moisturizing the skin from within. It's a gel cream formula so it's very lightweight, but still has a bit of body. Watery, but not super watery. Really nice! I reached for this a lot during the summer because it was hydrating/moisturizing enough for my oily-dehydrated skin, and yet it didn't feel heavy or sticky even with the insane SEA heat and humidity. One of my fave finds for summer skincare this year. These days I only use it in the AM, under sunscreen and makeup, but if you have normal/combination/oily skin you can definitely use it as a PM moisturizer as well.
Made with 63% Blackberry Complex, Idebenone, 5 kinds of Ceramides, and Phytosphingosine, this cream delivers intense skin hydration for up to 48 hours, strengthens the skin's moisture barrier, and reduces the appearance of visible wrinkles. Compared to the Sensitive Soothing Gel Cream, this one has a bit of a thicker formula. Texture is very smooth and buttery. Super moisturizing. Whenever I used this in the evening my skin would still feel soft and moisturized the next morning. It's a bit much for my skin though, so I don't think I'll be using it much unless I need a thicker cream. Best to use in the PM; definitely more suited for drier or more mature skin types.
Both the Sensitive Soothing Gel Cream and the Idebenone Blackberry Intense Cream are free from parabens, artificial fragrance and colors, alcohol, mineral oil, surfactants, and allergens.
Mary&May is available on StyleKorean—you can purchase the creams individually or as a set of 2.
