OLENS Spanish Real Gray Contact Lens Review | chainyan.co
Back with yet another contact lens review from OLENS 🥰 The lenses I'll be reviewing today have been around for a while, but they're still very popular, especially among OLENS fans. They are the Spanish Real Gray* lenses ✨

The Spanish contact lens line is one of OLENS' best-selling designs. They're the predecessor of the Scandi lenses, which are also very popular. They also come in a Circle version, which are slightly larger in diameter.

Spanish Real lenses come in five colors: Real Gray, Real Brown, Real Olive, Real Sky, and Real Peach. They have a total diameter of 14.2mm and a graphic diameter of 11.9mm. Each colorway only has two colors—the main color and the gold inner ring. There's no outer ring/edge line, so only the middle part of the iris has the pattern. The area with the pattern is smaller than your actual iris, so it blends naturally with your real eye color. To make it more natural-looking, the design is dispersed in a feathered pattern around the center.

The OLENS Spanish line comes in both Monthly and 1Day lenses variants. The Monthly variants have more color options (the 1Day only comes in Gray and Brown), but they basically have the same design.

Spanish Gray lenses have a light gray base color with a gold inner ring. The gray is actually a bit lighter in person than in my photos. Like most gray lenses, these do tend to appear blue depending on the lighting. Compared to the Scandi, the base color is less vivid and the pattern is more dispersed, so it's more natural-looking.

Like all of OLENS Monthly lenses, these are made from Polymacon/polyHEMA. 1Day lenses are made of Puscon. The difference between the two is that Puscon is a more hydrophilic, higher quality material, which explains the higher water content (48% vs 40%). But in my opinion, after trying both 1Day and Monthly lenses from OLENS, I feel like there's not much difference. My eyes tend to get dry very quickly, yet I can wear both types for at least 12 hours without any problems. But if you have really sensitive eyes, you can always go for the 1Day lenses.

These are Monthly lenses, they only come in packs of 2s. That's one pair of lenses for $24. The good news is that all OLENS Monthly lenses are Buy 1 Get 1 Free! Just choose two pairs of Monthly lenses (they don't have to be the same design!) and you'll only be charged for the higher priced item.

The overall look of the Spanish is actually pretty close to how real irises look, so they feel the most natural out of all of OLENS' iris lenses that I've tried! While Scandi Gray lenses are designed to look natural, there's a dramatic change when you wear them. I've said this before but when I wear Scandi Gray lenses with full makeup I sometimes can't recognize myself in photos lol. Whereas with the Spanish Gray, the change is subtle and it looks more like an accent to your actual eye color. If I were to choose between Spanish Gray and Scandi Gray lenses for everyday lenses, I would go for the former. I think this would be the same for the Brown ones as well. If you're a contact lens newbie or if you just prefer subtler looking lenses, the Spanish line would be great for you.
