review + swatches : Canmake Juicy Lady Liquid Cheek

Hey there, internet friends! :) I'm still alive, and back with a new makeup review! The last time I reviewed makeup was more than half a year ago, I think? So the whole process of doing my makeup and shooting took me quite a while to do. (Plus for some reason it's always super windy whenever I decide to shoot for reviews. TY wind for giving me anime hair, I guess 😂) But I am back with a new one, finally! This time I'm reviewing the Canmake Juicy Lady Liquid Cheek*, one of the newest products from Canmake Philippines 💕


The Juicy Lady Liquid Cheek is a liquid-type blush that promises "juicy color that seems to burst out from within". It's meant to be used as a blush, but the formulation allows you to use it on your lips as well.



It comes with a soft applicator tip for easy application for both the cheeks and lips.



The Juicy Lady Liquid Cheek comes in 3 juicy colors: 01 Rose Pop, 02 Mango Orange, and 03 Apple Cherry.



01 Rose Pop is a vivid azalea pink shade. It's very bright and cute, but you can tell from the photos that it's really not my color 😅 For reference, my skin is warm-toned light-medium, leaning towards medium. This would work much better for those with cool-toned, light to medium skintone.



02 Mango Orange is a bright orange shade that leans more coral. I knew from the start that this was going to suit my skin very well~ I've been using it a lot since I got it! My favorite out of the three, obviously.



03 Apple Cherry is a bright reddish pink shade. It swatches red but appears more pink on me. This color shocked me the most, because wearing it on both my lips and cheeks made my skin look SO PRETTY in photos. My skin looked like it was glowing. Definitely recommend this color!


The formula is non-sticky and blends into the skin very well. It's also very buildable. Whether you prefer a light flush or a vivid blush, you can keep adding product and blending out as you go. Staying power is great on the cheeks, but as it's not transfer-proof it isn't as long-lasting on the lips. Doesn't stain your lips or leaves a tint either, so you have to re-apply often. Which is fine if you just want a little color on your lips, like for everyday makeup.

One thing to note though: because the Juicy Lady Liquid Cheek contains oils, if you wear heavy foundation, don't apply the product directly onto the face. The oils in the product will break down parts of your makeup. I recommend applying the product on the back of your hand, then applying using fingers or a sponge. I personally use a spare cushion puff that I keep for cream blush, and find this method works perfectly.
