Taking a short break from packing my stuff for the Kawaii PH Flea Market, so here's a quick Life Lately post! :)

Reading

A bunch of manga that I've bookmarked. I had Aian download Zerozaki Soushiki no Ningen Shiken, which I've been curious about ever since starting the Zaregoto: Kubikiri Cycle anime. I love anything by Nisio Isin so I'm excited to read it! I also finally finished reading Sekine-kun no Koi the other day, and all I can say is THANK YOU KAWACHI HARUKA-SENSEI FOR THAT ENDING!! Truly one of the most satisfying endings I've read recently :') If you haven't read Sekine-kun yet, please do!!

Watching

Aian and I recently finished watching Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. Even though I'm familiar with Lupin III, I've never actually watched any of the numerous series. (When I was in high school I used to hear my classmates and friends about Lupin the Third a lot, but from the way they talked about it I assumed it was just another gag anime. I only ever heard about Lupin's antics and Fujiko's boobs.) I thought it would be a good idea to start with this particular series, as it was pretty recent. I've also heard a lot of good things about the art style and animation. This series focuses on Mine Fujiko, but also introduces the rest of the cast as she meets them. The whole thing's been really interesting so far. I'm glad I decided to try watching it now. After this we plan on watching Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone, a movie which is supposed to be a "continuation spin-off" of the series, this time focusing on Jigen. A follow-up to the movie, Lupin the IIIrd: Goemon Ishikawa's Spray of Blood, was also released, but that was just two weeks ago so I don't know when we'll be able to watch it.

Listening to
I'm Only Dreaming by Eisley. I haven't listened to Eisley in ages. The last time was in 2011, when they released their The Valley album. I didn't even know they released an album in 2013. I only found out about their four-year hiatus and the latest album because I started following Eisley's Facebook page last year. The new album is great, but my favorite is still Room Noises, which was released in 2005. Do you have an album you like so much that you know all the songs on it by heart? For me, Room Noises is one of those.

Playing
Nothing right now. Everyone around me's been playing Fire Emblem Heroes, but I don't really like playing tactical games because I'm impatient and get bored easily. All the characters look interesting though.

Needing / Wanting / Coveting
Warm food – ramen, pho, bulalo. It's been way too cold recently that all I want to eat is anything with a warm broth..

Also, I was organizing my makeup stash the other day and realized I need to get myself decent brushes soon. I don't have a decent blush brush, and the powder brush I've had for years is now too small for my preference. I need to get a replacement for my Real Techniques sponge too, but I'm not sure if I should go back to using a Beautyblender or just stick with the RT one.

Loving
Our new Petcube Play! We've been having way too much fun with it. Like I mentioned last time, I'll do a detailed review soon!

Disliking
For some reason, I seem to be stuck in a blogging rut. I have a ton of posts waiting in my drafts, but I can't seem to finish any of them.. I don't know why. It's frustrating because I want to follow my "at least 3 posts a week" rule but I have nothing to put up..

Recent purchases
I didn't buy anything at all these past two weeks. No online shopping for two weeks. Two. Whole. Weeks. Good job, me!

Recently bookmarked
Japan Anima(tor) Exhibition. It's a project presented by Studio Khara and Dwango, which aims to bring together various talents in the field of Japanese animation. According to Studio Khara founder Hideaki Anno (formerly of GAINAX fame):
We planned this short film project for believing in the pursuit and exploitation of fun of images that Japanese animation has, deepening and diversity of flexible expression, understanding and exploitation of individual talents, and the dreams and possibilities to the future, which are inherent in Japanese anima(tor)s.
And the results are amazing. So many talented people coming together. One of the most well-known titles that came about from this project is ME!ME!ME! by Teddyloid feat. daoko, which spread like wildfire all over the internet when it first came out. My favorite ones are GIRL, which is related to ME!ME!ME!, and Cassette Girl. You can't watch these on the official site anymore, as they usually only have one title available for a certain time, but you can find them uploaded by certain users on Youtube.

Looking forward to

The Kawaii PH Flea Market! It's happening today! In approximately 7 hours! I think I'll be bringing half my closet to be sold, lol. I'll be boothing with my cute friend Crisea. Our booth is near the Kawaii PH booth, you can't miss it! See you ♥

There are also a couple of events happening next week, one of which is a taiko performance event! I'm really excited for that one!

What have you been into lately? :)
