Day 22 – Mini picnic at the cemetery. We went to visit our nanay's grave, and at the same time celebrated my brother's birthday.

Day 24 – went out for an event, but unfortunately had to miss out on it because I left my ID at home, boo.
Day 25 – The days have gotten much colder (24°C), so the kids have been doing nothing but eat and sleep.

Day 28 – More snuggles

Before I proceed to my happy list, here's some not-so-happy things that I want to get off my chest:
  1. Wonder Girls is disbanding in February. I'm not a super-fan of WG, but Tell Me was the very first music video that got me into KPOP, so the news of their disbandment made me a little bit sad :(
  2. I recently updated my phone's iOS to 10.2.1, and it made the emojis look super ugly, wtf.
  3. The Mr. Park's in BFRV that we'd been hanging out in closed down. Where do I get cake and bread now :(

And to counter that, some things that made me happy recently:
  1. Homemade tacos! My mom's side of the family likes making tacos at home whenever we're celebrating a birthday or something. It's not a typical Filipino birthday thing, unlike spaghetti (the sweet Filipino-style kind!), but since it's fairly easy to make we've been making them for a few years now. I love tacos – I can eat three or four in one sitting, haha!
  2. Finding a nice pair of flats at the local thrift shop. I've been wanting to buy a pair of flats for some time now, but didn't want to spend too much on them because I rarely wear flats anyway. I just want to have at least one pair, for occasions where I can't exactly go out in 3-inch-heel platforms. These Olive Des Olive flats are so cute (pastel purple and gold!), fit my feet well, and cost me only around P400, which is an okay price considering these look almost new.
  3. I also got a couple of skirts and a cute purple dress.
  4. ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka episode 3. The story's getting really interesting now! Can't wait for episode 4.
  5. Also, Zaregoto - Kubikiri Cycle episode 3 is finally out! The episodes only come out once a month, and just when the story was getting suuuper interesting, the release of the next episode was pushed from December to January _(:3」∠)_ Waiting for the release date felt like FOREVER. I'm so glad we finally get to see what happens next!
  6. McDonald's Mushroom Pepper Steak. Jollibee's Burger Steak is one of our go-to meals to order in, so when I found out via a friend's Facebook post that McDo came out with their own version last month, we all tried it. It's SO GOOD. Much better than Jollibee's. We've been ordering it for some time now, but I only realized how good it really is when we ordered Jollibee's version again. As much as I love Jabee, I like McDo's pepper steak 10x more.
  7. I've been sleeping really well recently because of the colder weather. I also love how I wake up with the kids snuggling and sleeping soundly at the foot of the bed (or on my legs, heh).
  8. My new blog layout! This one is by Fearne Creative Design. You might not have noticed it because it doesn't look all that different from my last one – that's because I just couldn't part with the hydrangea! So I kept them. I carried over some things like font styles and colors from the previous layout as well, which explains the similarity. But I like that my site looks cleaner overall! Also, if you click on any of the post labels, you'll get to see the posts in grid form. Pretty neat!

What was the highlight of your week? :)

To have a better appreciation of life's moments, no matter how mundane, my 365 day challenge for 2017 is to take photos every day of the year, and at the same time write a list of things that have made me happy recently.
