G&G DM23 Kira Kira Brown | chainyan.co
Hey everyone! I'm back with my first review for this year.. and it's a review for expired lenses, lol. I was sent these from LoveShoppingholics way back in 2014, along with my EOS Cat Eyes Grey*. The good thing is that I managed to take a lot of photos with these on at the time, which is why I'm able to review them now. The lenses are G&G DM23 Kira Kira Brown* ♥

COLOR & DESIGN

For a lens named "Kira Kira Brown" I was expecting it to look a bit more more.. well, キラキラ. Instead, the design is very natural-looking. It has a very thin translucent black limbal ring, and a thicker brown ring that blends well with my natural eye color. It's subtle, but still noticeable from afar. The color in the lens case appears to be a yellowish brown, but it doesn't look yellow when worn. (Or at least, it looks that way against my dark brown eyes.)

ENLARGEMENT

Very enlarging, but not to the point that it looks unnatural. The info on the site says this lens has a 14mm diameter, but I have a hard time believing that. Personally I think the diameter is actually 14.5mm.

COMFORT

Super comfortable, I dare say even more so than my old GEO lenses. I used these as my daily lenses during the time that I got them, because these were the only lenses I could wear comfortably for 8+ hours.

FINAL THOUGHTS

When I first received these lenses, I wasn't particularly excited about them because I'd tried similar designs before and didn't like them much. I tend to stay away from lenses with thick outer rings. These slowly became a favorite of mine though, because they made my eyes look so pretty. I even wore these exclusively for a certain time because it goes so well with LARME-kei makeup. If you're looking for circle lenses but don't like the look of pure black lenses, this is a great alternative. Also they're very comfortable and natural-looking, so I recommend these for daily wear as well.

You can get these lenses at LoveShoppingholics for $22.90, with a cute animal lens case for every single pair of circle lens purchased. Aside from lenses, they also have a variety of Japanese and Korean cosmetics from brands such as Dolly Wink, Diamond Lash, and 3CE. Plus, they offer free shipping for orders over $50! Go check it out! ;)
