an afternoon with candy kawaii lover

I meet people from the Internet all the time. A lot of times I tell my family that I live on the Internet.. and it's true. Almost all of my friends, I got to know over the Internet. In real life, I'm a bit of a social recluse, and an awkward turtle, so I have a hard time making friends. The Internet makes it much easier. When Ashley and I met for the first time, I was already quite comfortable around her. I became even more comfortable when I found out that she actually knew my cousin and his best friend. (What a small world, really!) That day, we talked about a lot of things: her life in Japan, how I'd love to live there one day as well, meeting bloggers online and real life, modelling in Japan, the weather and its effects on hair.. we talked about a lot of things. Of course, we took outfit photos as well.

Hello Ashley!

Ashley taking photos of my outfit. As an official photographer for Fukulog, she was assigned to take street snaps of stylish people in Manila.

I'm really quite derpy and awkward in real life. (I also like making weird faces.)

Me with Ashley; group photo with pretty girls Irene, Val, and Denise who we bumped into later that day.

Funny story, actually. While we were on our way back to High Street, I spotted a French bulldog so I excused myself and left Ashley with Aian for a little bit and went to pet the cute little thing. All of a sudden, a girl went right up to me and called me by my name. It took me a few seconds to realize that it was actually Irene, and that Val was right behind her. So I called Ashley and Aian over, we talked for a bit, petted Coco and Echo, then went to meet Denise and Nic. What a coincidence, really, that they were all there at the same time we were. After that we all went to Fully Booked, and then went separate ways. It was short and sweet, but it's times like these that make me realize how nice it is to meet and go out with blog and Internet friends. We should all hang out soon when Ashley returns ♥
