polar opposites

franche lippée top, Candy Kawaii Lover skirt + stockings from Bloggers United, yeswalker shoes, pearl kitty headband. Cardigan from Bloggers United, h.Naoto Dark Red Rum top, thrifted pants, Rusty Lopez shoes. I've always found it amusing when people refer to Aian and myself as 'cute' in like a we-look-cute-together kind of way. I guess it's because our styles are from opposite ends of the spectrum. We're always so mismatched that it gets us a lot of attention when we go on dates and such. It also looks quite funny in photos, haha! I'm not complaining though. Photos by Ashley , btw! She took our photos for fukulog.jp, which is like the equivalent of Lookbook/Chictopia in Japan. Maybe we should do more couple photos like those in Japanese street snaps? Haha, next time!

an afternoon with candy kawaii lover

I meet people from the Internet all the time. A lot of times I tell my family that I live on the Internet.. and it's true. Almost all of my friends, I got to know over the Internet. In real life, I'm a bit of a social recluse, and an awkward turtle, so I have a hard time making friends. The Internet makes it much easier. When Ashley and I met for the first time, I was already quite comfortable around her. I became even more comfortable when I found out that she actually knew my cousin and his best friend. (What a small world, really!) That day, we talked about a lot of things: her life in Japan, how I'd love to live there one day as well, meeting bloggers online and real life, modelling in Japan, the weather and its effects on hair.. we talked about a lot of things. Of course, we took outfit photos as well. Hello Ashley! Ashley taking photos of my outfit. As an official photographer for Fukulog, she was assigned to take street snaps of stylish people in Manila. …

streetsnaps : Ashley Dy

Ashley is a Filipina fashion blogger based in Japan. I found out about her through a mini-feature on MEG Magazine where my then-blog on Tumblr was featured as well. I fell in love with her style and her photos, and I've been following her blog ever since. We were supposed to meet sometime last year, but because of certain circumstances, we weren't able to. I finally met her for the first time during Bloggers United 4 , but because Ashley was super busy with her booth that day, we were only able to talk for a short while. So we agreed to meet after Christmas, since she was leaving shortly after the New Year. We met on a Friday, I think, in the afternoon, at Bonifacio High Street. Before then, we've only ever spoken to each other on the Internet, commenting on each other's blogs and tweeting or …

Instagram favorites #3

@msy1515 @tomiinya @nala_cat @yopic_ My favorite Catstagrams! The last one is my favorite because it's not really a cat Instagram, but the owner loves taking photos of her cat doing derpy things, eheh. I think my Instagram serves only two purposes: for sharing photos of random things, and for liking cat photos.
