review : Vassen Lucky Clover Cocoro Gray Lens

October 8, 2013

Hello! Today I'm reviewing my new favorite lens! It took me a quite a while to get used to them, but now I really like them. I wear them all the time! These are Vassen Lucky Clover Cocoro Gray Lenses *, sent to me by LoveShoppingholics

Lenses in the case.

When worn, (super) close up.

These lenses are so, so pretty!!! Pretty in the case, and even more so on the eyes * O * These days, I've been going for grey lenses because they give you a natural look just as brown lenses would, but the feeling is totally different. And because these lenses have a mix of yellow in them, there's a bit more dimension compared to one-tone lenses. I can wear these even with glasses, and they would still catch people's attention. A friend even told me it looked like I had stars in my eyes, haha!

Quite enlarging at 14.5mm. I used to only like lenses that are 14.8mm or 15mm, but recently I've been preferring lenses that are 14.5mm. Right now, for me, this is the best lens size, so I like it a lot. This is just personal preference, by the way.

COMFORT: ★★★☆☆
I can wear these without any problems, but I just can't shake off the feeling that I'm wearing them. You know, that there's something in my eye. Not much a big deal, but my eyes can be quite sensitive to that kind of thing. They also get dry quicker than other lenses.. so I have to bring around drops whenever I wear these.

OVERALL: ★★★★☆
Four out of five stars. Like I said, when I first put them on I was so weirded out because they looked too.. sparkly? And I mean shoujo-girl-in-love sparkly! I thought these lenses would only look nice with heavier eyemake.. I was wrong! I wear these almost everyday now. The only drawback though, is that these aren't as comfortable as my other lenses. Otherwise these would've been perfect! I still love them though, heh.
